Joshua was up at the same time, and Isaac and Ben slowly rolled out too. It took me (and the family) the full 45 minutes to get everything together, but that included emptying the dishwasher. It's just so nice to come home to an empty dishwasher.
The first plane ride was rather uneventful.
Then we got to go in the sky lounge during our layover because Travis had some extra passes. It was super nice! The food was good, the seats were mostly comfy, and the Internet was free.
Then we got in the long plane. We had very nice seats. Everyone slept some. We didn't sleep as well the first part of the flight, the afternoon, but once we got to the later part everyone slept better.
Joshua said the flight wasn't as bad as he feared.
We got through customs and immigration easily; not having to wait for our bags was helpful... Although it was a bit annoying to have to drag them around with us.
A bus ride later, and we were at Travis' hotel, where we were going to store our bags. Everyone was tired but excited.
And that seems like a good place to end Saturday, even though it was half way though Sunday
