Thursday: potatoes

Isaac didn't have rock climbing tonight, and as I about to go pick up Joshua he said that I should make a vegetable for tonight (instead of raw carrots).  I told him he can make it!  I told him to look up a recipe and I left.

It took a lot longer to pick up Joshua than expected because we didn't see each other right away.  I got home and Isaac was almost ready to air fry the potatoes, although he mentioned it had taken a lot longer than he expected.  (It is good for him.  The only way to cook faster is to cook.)

After cooking per the given time, he checked them with a fork, as normal.  However, it turns out that he doesn't know what an uncooked potato feels like when forked.  So he and Joshua both forked an uncooked potato and it was so funny.  Here they are, sticking a fork into a potato.

The potato cubes were great.  Isaac did a good job.

However.

Later in the evening I was working in the kitchen and I notice that the back of the sink is all messy...oh, it was from cleaning the potato.  I look a little harder, and notice the splatter goes up the backsplash, and 1/3 of the way up the window.  I called him out on it and we both laughed about it, but I hope he figures out how to clean them more cleanly next time.
