vacation Sunday1: teamlab Planet
Wednesday: the nap that didn't end
Well, I started my nap slightly later today but could not wake up from it. My alarm to pick up the kids finally went off and I reluctantly got up.
Isaac had a lot of work to do today and wasn't really feeling it. It was a bit of a problem.
But hey, the laundry is all clean and mostly put away.
Joshua made a mountain out of all the Kit-kat flavors we got. (There's a box behind them though. We didn't actually get a mountain of kit-kat.)

Tuesday: home
We got home yesterday in time for a late dinner.
The kids went to bed around the same time as normal. They said they slept very well. They then went to school. Joshua had no problems, but Isaac said he was really tired in the morning. After school we went rock climbing and both kids didn't seem very tired at bedtime, but since I didn't see them after they went to bed they must have gotten to sleep easily.
Ben woke up early and came home early to take a nap.
I woke up at midnight ready to get up, but I took some go-to-sleep medicine and within a half hour I was back to sleep. I woke up a few other times, but just briefly. I did end up taking a four hour nap. I hadn't been planning on sleeping that long, but I have been only been sleeping adequately for the last month. I'm probably a bit behind on sleep and so a long nap was fine. I'm getting tired again.
I did manage to get several important things done and about half the unpacking. It's nice that I don't have to work at least.

Friday: ready
Grades are in! Besides that, it was a day in which I finished up loose ends.
Ah, I do have a funny story from yesterday. I received a notification from Holland Hospital that I had a message. I wasn't expecting anything from them, but thought I should check it out anyway. I couldn't remember my username or password, but finally got it straightened out.
It was from the audiology department (last year I had my hearing tested). They were letting me know the steps I should take to prevent the spread of measles.
Now, I completely agree that this is an important thing. Do I think I should hear about it from audiology?? Maybe not. Ben got the same notice; his was from the pain management clinic though.

Thursday: an odd day
Today just felt odd.
It's Thursday, and I normally work on Thursdays. However, it's exam week. I had an exam 3-5pm. I was all caught up on grading (thanks to my grader), so during the first part of the day I got caught up on other things. I even finished the stuff I was hoping to do, took a nap, and did a few not-so-important things.
I went to Hope around 2:15pm. I started prepping Moodle for next semester because grading was caught up. This is an amazing feeling and I should do it more often. I got about half way through getting Moodle ready, but I wasn't working at it all that hard. The last few semesters I've gone in on the first day with only the first week of Moodle ready, so I'm in a good place with that too!
Then I had errands: pick up a few things, bring Isaac to rock climbing, pick up Isaac from rock climbing. It was the last day of team practices, which is rather sad. He really enjoys them and wishes there was something over the summer too.
Then I, and my grader, finished grading the final exam! Oh my, shall we talk about how happy I am with this? Tomorrow I'll calculate grades and put them in, but it really only takes about 30 minutes.
Maybe today didn't feel odd. Maybe it felt wonderful! And it rained during my nap.

Wednesday: stuff got done
Stuff got done today. It was more stuff than has been getting done lately, so it felt good.
Also, one of my graders volunteered to help grade the final exams. Absolutely! I'd take as much or little grading as she was willing to do. Well, she finished up all the exams that have been taken so far! I don't know how much she'll help for the second class, but over half the students have taken the exam so grading is already feeling under control.
