Saturday: games

This evening we went over to some friends-from-church's house and made pizza and played games. It was a lot of fun. We first played Shadows over Camelot (bonus points because you can play with seven people) and then learned a new game (Elfinland). It was fun, and I even managed to win with my beginners luck.

Here's a picture of Flurry. I think she knew I was taking pictures of her because she found a spot with a good background and posed nicely.

Tuesday: business travel day 2

Well, we made it back. We almost drove back but at the last minute check to see if the corporate jet had four spaces free up since yesterday. It did! And it was leaving earlier due to weather, which was also ideal for us.

It is snowing here a lot. In 1.5 hours (after I got home) it snowed about 2 -3 inches. Kind of crazy.

Monday: business travel

Today I took/am taking my first business trip. I'm sure that business trips will (soon) be not exciting, but this one is.

Except that it took us 1.5 hours to get the "OK" to get to where we need to be which was pretty annoying.

I talked to Ben briefly to tell him that I wouldn't be home tonight. We hung up and two seconds later I get another phone call from him because he forgot to say "I love you." It was sweet.

Saturday: knitting take 2

Today knitting went better. Here is try two:

It went well enough that I decided to just go ahead and start the blanket. It might not be perfect, but hopefully the mistakes won't stand out too much.

Other than that, we did a few chores, tried on ski boots to see if they fit, and watched "A Cinderella Story." I'm a big Cinderella type movies fan because they always end so happily. And I'm a sucker for a good romance.

Friday: knitting

Well, this was my first attempt at knitting. I think I started out with about 15 stiches and lost 7 of them. Which is why there is yarn all over the place.

I got the cast-on part (or putting the yarn on the needle) figured out. I'm a little afraid that because because that part feels so comfortable I'm going to end up with a ton of stiches as I make my first baby blanket. (Then I'm going to make the kitty pi, but circles were an advanced topic. At least, that is the plan if the blanket finishes any time in the next year or so.)
