Saturday: knitting take 2

Today knitting went better. Here is try two:

It went well enough that I decided to just go ahead and start the blanket. It might not be perfect, but hopefully the mistakes won't stand out too much.

Other than that, we did a few chores, tried on ski boots to see if they fit, and watched "A Cinderella Story." I'm a big Cinderella type movies fan because they always end so happily. And I'm a sucker for a good romance.

Okay so it's possible I'm a little OCD and when I was getting started knitting I was really frustrated when I dropped (or sometimes freakishly added) stitches.

Anyhow, my solution was to put stitch markers every 5 stitches (or some number that's easy for you to see).

Then it's easier to go back and fix it.

How does one make stitch markers?

Well you could buy little plastic ones at the store, or you can just use contrasting yarn loops.

Or you know old hoop earrings or rings you don't mind getting some yarn on.
