Update: badges

I have to badge to get in and out of a lot of doors at work. Probably about 30 times per day right now. This always involves waving my badge at a reader.

Today I was walking down some stairs to a non-badge door, only to discover I'm waving my badge at it. Sigh. At least it opened.

Then I was going out of a door that you only have to badge into. I went through the door and then waved my badge at the reader...as it is wasn't sure that I should have been let out.

Hmm. This was a lot funnier in my head. Well, I still think its funny.

Saturday: flashback

This morning I woke up...and went to work on a paper for Advisor Amy. Well, it's almost done.

This weekend is being slightly stressful. There are a lot of things to do between not having done anything last week, Dad coming this week/weekend, and it being nice out and wanting to do some spring cleaning type stuff. I also managed to stain my work khakis, and don't know how I feel about that. Normally I'd chalk it up to being dumb and move on. Except that I might be in the same situation, and again stain, my pants. So do I start wearing jeans? That's rather unprofessional. Sigh. The not-so-big decisions that are so annoying.

Friday: picnic

Today was a beautiful day. We went on a picnic for diner.

Thursday: the future and flowers

This is what I want to be able to tell my kids..."When I was your age the dentist cleaned our teeth with instruments of torture. You're lucky that you just have the inconvenience of sitting in the chair for an hour while the Zapamouth painlessly cleans your teeth."

Ok, fine. My grandkids.

My flowers are starting to come up:



So are my weeds. The weeds are growing faster.

Wednesday: mouth

I have a canker sore on my tongue. It really is the worst place to get it because it always makes it hard to talk and eat and I can't put any medicine on it...it just doesn't seem to work. I also have a dentist appointment tomorrow that I haven't been flossing for. I hope they don't hurt my tongue. I tried rescheduling, but they didn't have anything open until June. :(

Monday: uh oh

I've started getting spam comments. I might have to implement the dreaded "type these almost illegible letters that make no sense into this box."

Monday: Firefly

Ben and I have started watching Firefly. We're only half way through it and I'm already sad that there is just one season.

My favorite character is Kaylie. She kind of reminds me of myself, only smarter. And cuter. Wow, I've been thinking about this post all night and that was all I can come up with. Just you'll have to watch the show yourself and see what I mean.
