Saturday: work and domestic stuff

Well, I went into work for just a little bit today. I was hoping to be there under an hour and was there for just over, so not too bad. It would have been really short if I could have found the thing that I was looking for.

Then after an early nap I did more domestic stuff than normal...I made supper, strawberries with chocolate and chex mix. I also pinned another hem for my tablecloth.

Thursdsay: what a day

what a day, what a day. I knew it was going to be busy. We're pushing to have a lot of stuff done by 3:59am Monday morning. (ok, so we won't actually be working Sunday night, but you get the idea). Anyway, it brings us to a big milestone and we really need some good press. So I'm going along, doing my thing, thinking it is busy but handlable. Then someone comes and says we also need this other thing to be done. Oh really, I was told (not just under the impression but told) we weren't doing it...we ended up doing it. It isn't a very big thing to finish up, but it meant that I needed to scramble to get some guys going on it. In the middle of this I completely forgot about my doctors appointment. I felt bad about that.

It was a long and exciting day, so now I'm going to go to bed at 9. I'll probably read for a little bit, but I don't know how long I'll last...

Tuesday: work

I'm still working a lot which is why I'm not posting as much. I am getting tired sooner.

My camera's working again!

Here's Flurry enjoying a bag.
And a valentine from Nathan and Liz and a rose from Ben

A hole (on the top) that Ben drilled to run some new wiring
The hem I sewed on the tablecloth I'm making.

Friday: our morning

While Ben and I were getting ready this morning, Flurry was in the bathroom with us. This is normal; there's water in the bathroom. Suddenly we hear her loud there-is-a-bug-it-has-to-die meow. It was rather surprising, since this is winter and there are no bugs. We look and she is pacing by the wall near the window.

She had found a nail.

She was so sure it was a bug though! Ben held her up so that she could feel it, which only sort of convinced her. She stopped pacing and meowing, but continued to keep her eye on it.

Then the smoke alarm went off. This surprised me a bit since there was no smoke and I thought we had just changed that battery. I hurried over and smelled, but there was nothing to be smelled. It started beeping once in a while so I knew it was just a battery thing.

Except it followed me to work.

It was my pager.

Wednesday: drilling

So Ben was doing some drilling today. No big deal. I was in the computer room, he was in the basement. I heard the drill so I knew Ben was drilling but then I smelled a burning smell. Then the burning smell got really strong so I hurried down the stairs, slightly worried.

Well, nothing bad had happened. He was just drilling near the vent so the smell quickly went everywhere.

I had another thought but I forget what it was.

We really only got one aircraft yesterday. I was mistaken. I thought I heard the second one come in but I guess it was something else.

Tuesday

Today was pretty much the same as most other days. I worked. I solved problems. I made problems. I hoped to solve more problems than I made. (I think I failed today.)

We had two aircraft come today which brings us up to five.
