Today I got to go into work early because Ben was working from home. I like going in early because then I get to leave early. Well, I thought I wouldn't get to leave much earlier, because I was going to help someone out with something. But it got finished yesterday, so I was still able to leave early. :) So I took a wonderful nap.
Today and yesterday I got to work on making build instructions for a harness. It was actually a lot of fun, even though I think I take twice as long as I should. But I'm still learning.
We talked to a landscaper and saw his quote. Landscaping is expensive, but they seem to realize that and are willing to work with you so that's nice.

Wednesday: midweek
Today is an off raid day that I'm attending on Lydiac. The problem? We're going super slow because the raid leader is new at leading and sick.
The morning went slowly, I didn't have enough to do. I really need to figure this out earlier so I can get some work before I'm completely out and no one is around. I got some around noon, and the afternoon flew by.
I have dumb rock band songs in my head.

Tuesday: a bit grumpy
Well, I'm a little grumpy right now. ramble about that for a bit, decide I really don't want to talk about it and delete the whole paragraph. I'm still trying to decide if I'm justified in my grumpiness.
My lower eyelid is also dry, which is itchy.
However, it snowed today. It was beautiful.
Today I also pondered what would happen if, say, Iowans decided they felt oppressed and wanted to cede from the Union. Then I wondered if the response would be different if Hawaii wanted to cede. I feel as though if we have a democracy and that if they want to leave they should be able to. I'm also wondering if cede is the right verb or if I should have been using succede. Or however it's spelled.

Monday
Today was pretty good. I stayed really busy in the morning, doing a ton of things that sort-of popped up at the last second. In the afternoon I was writing instructions to put stuff together, and the guy next to me was doing a similar task. I found a knob that just appeared out of no where. Some images had it, some didn't. And it didn't have a part number, which was the real problem. Hmmm...it was funnier when you were there. The guy next to me found a 10" wire that was shorter than an 8" wire.
The electrician came this morning to fix some wiring. Something suddenly went wrong and our computers kept losing power. About once every 20 minutes. But now it seems fixed. :)
Sorry about the semi-boring post. Life just isn't super exciting right now. I had a picture of Flurry that I wanted to post, but it was all blurry.

Saturday: party at the Hilldore's
Tonight we had a bunch of people over from church. We played rockband, settlers, and mario party. It was a lot of fun. And they like the food I made. I did feel really self-conscious about our nice house, but...life goes on.

Thursday: almost Friday
Ah, well...today was kind of boring. But I got some more work at the end of the day so tomorrow should be good. I did also manage to finish a lot of the little things that have been hanging around for a while, so that's good.
Our taxes were rejected today because Ben said my birthday was in 2007 :)
Yeah, there's not much other interesting stuff that happened today. I almost got a picture of Flurry playing with my knitting needles, but the battery was dead.

Wednesday
Nothing much happened today. It was actually a kind of boring day. I did do several of the things that I wasn't really looking forward to though, so it's nice to have them done.
Lunch was good. I had leftovers.
Ben is doing the taxes. Oh fun.

Monday: a good day
Well, I was having a hard time being excited about today. Some of the things I had lined up for work just didn't sound like fun.
But the day ended up not being so bad. The work stuff wasn't too bad, and Ben got some good news. We had pizza for dinner, and I took a quick nap before the raid. I still have a whole raid to go before bed, but hopefully it'll be fun. I also didn't get my chocolate fondue that has been waiting since last Thursday, but there just wasn't quite enough time.
Let's see, what else. I finished the golden compass trilogy the other day. I wasn't really very impressed. The first two books are definietly not worth the hype the church has give them, although I can at least see where they're coming from for the third. But then there was a sad ending too, so my vote is just an eh.
But right now I'm reading "The Man who listened to horses" and throughly enjoying it.

Saturday: games
This evening we went over to some friends-from-church's house and made pizza and played games. It was a lot of fun. We first played Shadows over Camelot (bonus points because you can play with seven people) and then learned a new game (Elfinland). It was fun, and I even managed to win with my beginners luck.
Here's a picture of Flurry. I think she knew I was taking pictures of her because she found a spot with a good background and posed nicely.

Tuesday: business travel day 2
Well, we made it back. We almost drove back but at the last minute check to see if the corporate jet had four spaces free up since yesterday. It did! And it was leaving earlier due to weather, which was also ideal for us.
It is snowing here a lot. In 1.5 hours (after I got home) it snowed about 2 -3 inches. Kind of crazy.

Monday: business travel
Today I took/am taking my first business trip. I'm sure that business trips will (soon) be not exciting, but this one is.
Except that it took us 1.5 hours to get the "OK" to get to where we need to be which was pretty annoying.
I talked to Ben briefly to tell him that I wouldn't be home tonight. We hung up and two seconds later I get another phone call from him because he forgot to say "I love you." It was sweet.

Saturday: knitting take 2
Today knitting went better. Here is try two:
It went well enough that I decided to just go ahead and start the blanket. It might not be perfect, but hopefully the mistakes won't stand out too much.
Other than that, we did a few chores, tried on ski boots to see if they fit, and watched "A Cinderella Story." I'm a big Cinderella type movies fan because they always end so happily. And I'm a sucker for a good romance.

Friday: knitting
Well, this was my first attempt at knitting. I think I started out with about 15 stiches and lost 7 of them. Which is why there is yarn all over the place.
I got the cast-on part (or putting the yarn on the needle) figured out. I'm a little afraid that because because that part feels so comfortable I'm going to end up with a ton of stiches as I make my first baby blanket. (Then I'm going to make the kitty pi, but circles were an advanced topic. At least, that is the plan if the blanket finishes any time in the next year or so.)

Reversal
So I was playing WoW and Flurry was looking at me weirdly. So I got up to pick her up, and she ran away a bit. I followed, only to be jerked back by my headset. It felt oddly leash like.
Thursday: hotness
Today I wore my long grey pants. Which meant I needed to wear my heels. It was surprisingly only a mistake twice during the day...both times when I had to walk long distances with people. But with my new hair cut and my shoes I felt hot. Whether I actually was with my not-symmetrical hair and spilled applesauce on my shirt remains another question.

Wednesday:
Well, work has be ok lately. Some good, some not good, but what else is new?
The highlight of my day was the jello I had for lunch. We're running very low on lunch foods, so I got it to supplement the lunch. It had a lot of fruit in it and some whipped topping on the top. I only like whipped topping on jello. I'm not sure why. So that was good, and then there was a grape at the very end that was delicious.
Ben and I finished all of the episodes of Scrubs that are out on DVD and are starting The Office tonight. While I really want to start the next season of Scrubs because it ended on a dumb cliff-hanger, I'm excited about The Office too.

Sunday: superbowl
We watched the superbowl on Sunday. Lots of yummy food, somewhat disappointing commercials. An exciting last two minutes. More pictures here.

Friday: ice day
Well, there's an ice day today. I got up a little early to try and beat it into work, but after Ben worrying about me and realizing there was already ice on the driveway I gave myself a firm talking to and said I needed to keep myself safe, and not worry about what others think if I don't show up today.
It seems to have been a good decision, because a lot of people seem to be making it. The only problem is that I don't have a lot of work I can do from home because I didn't listen to Ben yesterday and take some home with me.
But once I get over myself I think I have a nice day...some WoW, getting a head-start on the chores, and enjoying the long weekend.
