The trip really went quite smoothly. Customs is a pain, but there isn't much I could do about that. None of the bottles in the suitcase broke. Actually, the most annoying part of the trip was listening to some guy complain to a credit card about a charge refusal for our entire dinner. I could give you all the details,but I'll spare you the pain. It did give us a bonding time with the neighboring table though.

I can't believe you stayed 12 days. That is so cool! Glad you had fun :)
While still quite a while, we only spent 10 nights down there. Vacation day 1 was just packing and driving to the hotel before our flight. (although we didn't have to work)
We were there for 6 nights on our honeymoon... just because after already taking time off before the wedding, it was all the vacation we could get - but once you've paid for the flights there, you might as well stay as long as you can! watching your blog about this trip has really made me want to go back... :)
